This was a project from my Fabrications Lab class, where we combine textiles arts with technology. I programmed an Arduino to switch on a light when a button was pressed. I crocheted three flowers, one yellow to light up with an LED, and two green ones to be sewed closed and serve as the “button.”
I sewed in conductive thread (to increase the surface area for the wires to touch) and wires that was attached to the Arduino and LED, so that when I pressed the two green flower halves together, the red and blue wires would touch, turning on the LED.
