Bouncing Lightbulbs Animation

This was a fun project in my animation class where we would draft out own exposure sheet for an animation of a bouncing ball turning into an object, and then switching the sheet with one of our classmates. We would have to animated what they wrote in their exposure sheet and it was cool to see the difference in vision between our own and our partner’s final animations.

I was tasked with turning a turning the ball into a light bulb. So in Adobe Animate, I sketched the main key frames based on the x-sheet I was given. I then added the in-between frames before I finished the animation with solid, colored shapes.

This animation had me also experiment with backgrounds that move along with the animation, which was a bit difficult to figure out initially.
