This comic was used for multiple assignments in my “Comics and Sequential Art” class. The first assignment was to illustrate a comic based on a script I was given. It portrayed a break-up, and I decided to use the characters Princess Bubblegum and Marceline from the show “Adventure Time.” I kept the art style fairly simple so that I could focus more on the angles and poses of the characters. In another assignment, we went back to this comic to add speech bubbles and lettering. Since these were made at separate times, we could only work with the space we already drew, forcing me to be creative with the placement and sizing of the lettering.
